Clarisse

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Visuals: Clarisse is 5'4" and has basically at the exact body type intersection of "fit runner's physique" and "oh my god are you OKAY can i get you a SANDWICH, ANYTHING???" She keeps her long hair loose, and it somehow magically never gets in her way.

Fashion: Actually surprisingly cute while still fairly practical; skirts and stockings, but also leather tops and tough lightly armored boots. She fights long-range, so nothing that would impede movement or slow her down too significantly. She mostly sticks to boring neutrals, with splashes of dark gold and red accents to make herself look fierce and important, but she never wears anything hugely flashy. No matter what she's wearing, she's also got her shoulder pauldron, arm guards, and chest guard. On that note, she's also carrying a bow and a quiver of arrows at absolutely all times.

Demeanor: Haughty and self-assured, always standing straight and tall. Her body language is almost always really closed off or ready to strike—Clarisse works on the assumption at all times that she's one moment of unawareness from being attacked, and she is absolutely ready to throw hands at any given moment. Apparently she either never took "your face will freeze like that" to heart or actively decided to revel in it, because she has the world's single worst case of resting bitchface.

Sound: Her English VA is Cassandra Lee Morris and she does an excellent job! You can listen to voice clips here! For someone who communicates mostly in threats to kill she sure does sound like a bratty teenage girl.

Physical Affection: okay so this is the big thing—please ask me ooc before doing anything more than like, a jocular pat on the back kinda deal, because clarisse will respond very negatively! in particular, head pats are, like, mental breakdown level huge to her, so absolutely none of that without checking in. clarisse is a well-adjusted individual...........

Physical Violence: in theory i am SUPER down but in practice my desire to write fight threads varies wildly, so i would prefer to hash the results out ooc before we get going. please contact me!!

OPT OUT

clarisse is an optional midboss in a jrpg and i'm taking her from post-canon so like you already know what the fuck is going on

that said if you adamantly do not want spoilers please give me a shout! i can almost guarantee major plot spoilers are not going to be a thing but please feel free to specify that you're okay with clarisse-central spoilers as long as i don't spoil the actual plot of the game

OTHER THING ACTUALLY POTENTIALLY WORTH OPTING OUT OF: clarisse was groomed and emotionally abused by her mother figure, and abuses her sister reese in a similar way; please let me know if you don't want this sort of thing to come up in tags with you!

similarly, if you just want to opt out of tagging with clarisse for any reason, be it the various content warnings that come with her or just that her horrific abrasiveness is too much for you, that's fine by me! just let me know; no need to justify yourself, this is a no judgment zone.
